So I stayed with Ms. Person and she helped me practice talking to people. I started to feel a little confident. So I decided that I would try again at recess.

On the playground, Hamia and I walked towards a crowd of kids. I felt nervous, but it was now or never. The first person that made eye contact with me, I walked up to them. “Hi! I am Andy. What is your name?”

“Hi Andy, I am Mae.”

“Would you like to play catch with me?” She asked

Hamia and I looked at each other. I could not believe it.

“Sure.” I said. I was having fun with Mae and Hamia.

We were playing for a while when someone else came and joined in.

“Hi I am JJ. Can I play?”

“Sure.” We all said
